What Africa Uncovered says…
Mwagusi Camp is situated on the banks of the seasonal flowing Mwagusi River in the eastern sector of Ruaha National Park. Mwagusi Camp is a well established camp having been operating in Ruaha for over a decade, the wildlife have therefore become habituated and are not as skittish as in some other areas. This allows for fantastic wildlife viewing.

Mwagusi Camp Description

There are 13 bandas (rooms) at Mwagusi Camp and along with the main central area they all look onto the seasonal river which attracts a wide variety of wildlife. The bandas are quite rustic with high thatched roofs and reed walls that are waist high. Almost all of the camp is built from natural materials such as grass thatch, timber, stones and reeds. Each banda has en-suite facilities with hot and cold water, flush toilet and shower. The main lounge area has comfortable sofas and chairs and there is also a small library and bar area.

ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE

Mwagusi Camp prides itself on offering an exceptional wildlife viewing experience and early morning and late afternoon game drives as well as intrepid safari bush walks are a real highlight. The game viewing especially in the dry winter months is simply outstanding.
