Thanda Private Game Reserve Description
Experience ultimate luxury and world-class service. The Main Lodge has a lounge, library, dining room, boma, dining deck, wine cellar, cigar bar, fully equipped business centre and viewing decks overlooking tranquil water features. The nine luxury bush villas are pure indulgence. Each spacious bush villa (220m2) has a private infinity pool and separate game viewing deck, sala, lounge, fireplace and a full bathroom with a big bath and inside as well as an outside shower. The private bomas offer absolute privacy should that be your choice.
There is also a very luxurious Honeymoon Tent which features a king-sized bed, a comfortable separate lounge area and en-suite bathroom with a huge oval bath. A highlight of the Honeymoon Tent is the outdoor shower and plunge pool which have spectacular panoramic views of the 14 000 hectare reserve.
The Royal Private Villa
The exclusive-use Royal Private Villa is perfect for families and groups of friends who want to enjoy the luxury and privacy of this five star home-away-from-home. The Royal Private Villa was designed for a family and thus it has a range of facilities that will make a family stay enjoyable and fun but still luxurious and exclusive.
Encompassing 1000 m² of sheer unadulterated luxury, the Royal Private Villa is equipped with a private boma, library, cellar, business room with internet connectivity, games room, heated swimming pool and magnificent viewing deck looking out onto a waterhole often visited by the Big Five.
Reserving the villa as a unit will entitle family and friend groups to a private game-viewing vehicle and ranger, personal chef and masseuse.
The Tented camp
Thanda Private Game Reserve offers a select few a luxurious escape into nature. Without compromising luxury or service, the tented camp offers guests an opportunity to get closer to nature in style. Each of the fourteen luxury tents are en-suite and have a lovely viewing deck. The camp has no electricity, and guests can opt to have their meals in the dining tent or around the boma fire.
The main communal areas in the tented camp consist of a reception area, a curio shop, a lovely rim-flow swimming pool, a dining tent, lounge area and boma for eating under the stars.
ACTIVITIES AT THANDA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Thanda Private Game Reserve aims to restore nature’s balance by reintroducing species endemic to the area, which includes most of the Big Five. The rehabilitated land has encouraged the bird and wildlife to flourish, and has assisted in the re-establishment of the natural ecosystem.
