Kirawira Camp is a tented camp situated in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti. Kirawira Camp is styled in Edwardian colonial opulence and has a prime location on the migration path.
Kirawira Camp is a bigger camp that most of the smaller tented camps that we recommend, however the tents are well laid out to ensure privacy and the camp is a great option for those wanting a bit of luxury whilst the great herds thump through the western corridor from May to July.
The camp consists of 25 luxury tented suites, each on their own timber platform and each with their own sweeping view of the plains beneath. Each has a steamer-trunk, brass lamps, a writing desk and its own bathroom. The twin dining tents serve delicious local and international cuisine, and the staff are dressed in traditional colonial white Swahili robes.
The luxurious ensuite bathroom is fitted with carved mahogany furniture and features a classic black-and-white tiled floor (separate flushed WC, shower, twin marble basins, hot and cold running water). Each tent has its own personal valet.
Kirawira Camp has a great location for seeing the Migration as they pass through the Western Corridor from May to July.
