Little Vumbura is an elegant little tented camp located in a private reserve bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta. Little Vumbura an ideal retreat for Honeymoons and guests that enjoy a small intimate camp atmosphere. Game viewing is also excellent at Little Vumbura and can be undertaken on foot or by landrover or even by mokoro (dugout canoe) under the guidance of experienced polers.

Camp Description
Little Vumbura accommodates ten guests on a wonderful island. Six tents are situated under the canopy of an ancient Okavango forest. Each tent is large and roomy and has en-suite facilities, as well as an outside shower for those who want to be even closer to nature. The dining room and pub are under canvas and have been built in and around the existing trees. There is also a plunge pool.
The camp is surrounded by water and the game viewing is consistently good year round The camp is also part of a community participation plan and the local villagers have been granted the rights to this area, which allow them to derive direct benefits from the wildlife through significant concession fees and through employment opportunities.
Activities and Wildlife
Little Vumbura offers both water and land activities, as well as walks. During the annual period of high floodwaters guests are transported by boat to dry areas where open 4×4 Land Rovers allow guests to get close to animals in the savannah. Guests usually have the opportunity to see lion, leopard, elephant, sable and buffalo, along with all the plains game, providing an excellent all-round game experience in this remote corner of the Okavango.
Access into this area is only by aircraft and if the water levels are high in winter, a mokoro trip and / or a boat will transfer guests to camp.
