The Palms has been featured as the number one Island destination on the BBC Holiday program of “World Top Ten Islands.”

Please take a moment to note the following important information:

The following services are included during your stay: breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, soft drinks, mineral water, juices and a selection of in house spirits and wines. Please note that there are a wide selection of other wines & spirits, which are available at a charge. There is also a snack menu available in your room, which is available at a charge.

You will see that your room has a safe deposit box and we kindly ask that you deposit all your valuables in this safe. In accordance with the local culture of Zanzibar and out of respect for the local people, please note that it is illegal to sunbathe topless. In this light we also kindly request that you do not walk around the reception or restaurant areas in your swimsuits only.

In an effort to preserve the fragile marine environment, please note that the Law of Zanzibar strictly prohibits the collection of shells or corals from the sea or reef. Please help us to protect our natural resources! We kindly ask you to note that the dress code for dinner is smart casual and gentlemen are requested to wear long trousers and shoes. We ask you kindly to note that the policy of the hotel is that you sign for all services during your stay and then settle any bills when checking out at the end of your stay!

Main Dining Room
Serves breakfast on the terrace from 7:30am to 10:00am every morning & dinner in the dining room between 7:30am and 9:30am

Pool Bar & Restaurant
The pool bar is open from 10:00am till 6:00pm and lunch is served there between 12:30pm till 2:00pm where you can enjoy the daily specials.

Special Dietary Requirements
We are happy to cater to any special requirements, simply contact the manager.

Afternoon Tea
Served on the terrace daily from 4:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m.

Main Bar
Ideal for a pre or after dinner drink, the main bar is open from 6:00 p.m. till midnight offering a selection of cocktails, juices and alcoholic drinks.

Medical Care
For any medical assistance, please report to the reception for further information.

Cashier’s Office
The cashier’s office is available for money changing. Kindly note that we accept: Traveller’s Cheques, Cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Euro card for settling payment. If you are checking out early in the morning, we request that you settle your bill the evening before.

Telephone & Fax Services
All the villas are equipped with telephones. The reception will assist you with any telephone calls. For fax services, kindly contact the reception.

Internet Facilities
Internet services are available in the reception.

The Palms Gift Shop
Open daily, however for a more extensive selection, we highly recommend that you visit the Breezes Beach Club & Spa, Zanzibar shop.

Room Service
Room service is available from 9:00 a.m.—9:00 p.m. Please refer to the room service menu, which is available at a charge.

DVD Rental
A wide range of DVDs are available in the reception. Please note that rental is free of charge but limited to two movies per day.

Laundry
Kindly place your clothes in the basket and fill out the form available in your room and the room attendant will take care of it. Please note that the laundry is closed on Sundays & dry cleaning is unfortunately not possible.

Pool Towels
Pool towels are available for your use by the pool and on the beach area. This will be provided every morning. We kindly request that you do not remove towels from the rooms.

Tours & Excursions
Please contact the reception for further details about any tours you may be interested in. There is also an information board in the Internet room.

Sports & Marine Activities
Please note that the Breezes Beach Club & Spa, Zanzibar membership card, which you received upon check in, allows you to use all the Marine Activities and Fitness Center facilities at Breezes Beach Club & Spa, Zanzibar free of charge. This includes pedal boats, windsurfing, canoes, snorkeling, reef shoes, gym and tennis court. Please note that the Spa, traditional henna painting & hair braiding is also available at a charge.

Scuba Diving Center
The Rising Sun Dive Center is one of the most famous on the Island and provides instruction in Italian, French, English & German and administers courses for beginners and advanced divers. Discovery Dives and Dive Packages are also offered. The Instructors will be happy to brief you personally – please just contact the reception or dive center directly.
