Loliondo Safari Camp Fact Sheet

LOCATION – varies throughout the Loliondo Maasai Concession area dependent on weather and game conditions. Stunning campsites are positioned close to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro park boundaries. Sightings of the legendary wildebeest migration cannot be guaranteed from our Loliondo Safari Camp, and so we would suggest linking a safari with the Serengeti Safari Camp.

ACTIVITIES – Private game drives in 4WD vehicles, walking safaris, understanding of Maasai culture, night game drives, game viewing, great birding, picnics and sundowners in stunning locations.

SEASONS – Dec to May/early June: the camp partners with the Piyaya village community at the southern point of Loliondo. This area is bordered by the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Gol Mountains, and Sanjan Gorge.

Resident game is excellent and the migration will periodically pass through this area. Mid-June to Nov: the camp partners with Ololosokwan village community at the northern most point of Loliondo. Bordered by Kenya’s Maasai Mara to the north and the Serengeti National Park to the west, this area offers a great mix of resident game, and excellent walking country with dramatic scenery and interaction with local Maasai villages.

OPEN – all year around.

CHILD POLICY – Please note that we do not accept children under the age of 8 at Loliondo Safari Camp. Only children of 12 and over can participate in walking activities. All children stay at their parents own risk.
