Nomad Tarangire Camp Description
The unique design of the new tents offer comfort, space, and light and are designed to take full advantage of the passing breezes. The mess and dining tent is spacious, welcoming, and funky, and definitely somewhere to spend a relaxed afternoon, either inside in the library/lounge area or in the shade of a tree lying in a hammock soaking up the Tarangire vibe.
The landscape is famous for its Baobab trees which are scattered throughout the park. It’s a strong, rolling wilderness that over the last hundred years has earned the respect of the bush-wise, first as a hunting ground, and more recently as a vital wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania’s Great Rift Valley. Pristine bush, extensive wetlands, and permanent rivers attract masses of game into the national park’s 2600 sq kms.
Activities and Wildlife
The park offers a host of excellent game driving opportunities in private 4WD vehicles with own private guide, fantastic walking safaris through the wilder areas of the park, phenomenal birding and game viewing with the park being well known for its large herds of elephants. Also migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland make it the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem.
