Beautifully located on the slopes of an ancient volcano, Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge, meaning “Place of the Rock” is a hub of luxury in the heart of an untamed wilderness. Guests experience excellent game sightings which include the Big 5 on bush walks or game drives and the Lodge’s 130m underground tunnel leading to the ‘hide’, provides for an intimate glimpse of the wild.
Dining at Kwa Maritane is a unique experience. The restaurant consists eight different sections on different levels ranging from a terrace overlooking the Park to an outdoor section, quite literally in the bush allowing for a close encounter with the Big 5. This lodge boasts 90 hotel rooms, 54 self catering chalets, 2 swimming pools and a business centre.

Pilanesberg National Park is home to the gargantuan shapes of Africa’s giants – elephants, rhino and buffalo. If you’re fortunate, you may catch a glimpse of the stealthy leopard or lion, stately king of the bush.
Bush Braais are held (weather permitting) every Wednesday and Saturday night. Prices may be subject to change. Children under the age of 12 years, accompanied by an adult qualify for a complimentary game drive, but are still required to pay the R15 entrance fee into the park. Minimum age for game drives as per lodges still applies.
