Kenya 10 Day Southern Circuit Safari Itinerary & Fact Sheet

The Southern Circuit 10 day flying safari based on either Cottar’s 1920’s, Saruni, Richard’s Camp or Elephant Pepper Camp in the Masai Mara

DAY 1 HOUSE OF WAINE, Nairobi
Transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to the leafy, forested Karen suburbs of Nairobi. Relax by the swimming pool, or visit the nearby Karen Blixen museum or Giraffe Sanctuary. Gourmet cuisine is the order of the day.

DAY 2 TORTILIS CAMP, Amboseli
You will be collected at 06h30 and transferred to Wilson Airport for the 07h30 scheduled Air Kenya flight to Amboseli. You will be collected from the airstrip and taken to Tortilis Camp, where you will be greeted by the over powering beauty of Africa’s largest Mountain, Kilimanjaro. Enjoy Italian food, a relaxing lunch and a few quite moments by the swimming pool. Once rested, enjoy an early evening game drive admiring the mass of Elephants that occupy Amboseli.

DAY 3 TORTILIS CAMP
Game drive or enjoy bush walks with the Masai Warriors.

DAY 4, 5 & 6 THE MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Cottar’s 1920’s—Saruni—Richard’s Camp—Elephant Pepper Camp
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip to meet the 08h15 Air Kenya flight to Wilson Airport. After arriving at Wilson at 09h15 you will connect straight with the Air Kenya flight to the Masai Mara arriving at 11h00. The Masai Mara offers a true wildlife experience, one than is hard to duplicate anywhere else in the world. Each lodge is part of a particular conservation project or concession area. Game drives, bush breakfasts, sundowners and bush walks makes this an unforgettable safari experience. The Mara is famous for its prolific big game, predatory cats and vast antelope herds.

DAY 7 MANDA BAY, Lamu
After breakfast and an early morning game drive you will be transferred to the airstrip to meet the Air Kenya flight to Wilson Airport, arriving at 12h15. You will connect with the 13h15 Air Kenya flight to Lamu. On arrival in Lamu at 15h00, you will be greeted by a Manda Bay representative and transferred by boat for 20 minutes to Manda Bay. Manda Bay has 11 airy cottages which are all sea facing. Each cottage has its own private veranda and sunbathing area. After a walk on the long stretch of beach you can watch the sun set whilst enjoying a refreshing cocktail.

DAY 8 & 9 MANDA BAY
Manda Bay offers a number of activities including deep sea fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, the list goes on. For those that prefer a less energetic activity why not board Manda Bay’s private 60ft “Utamaduni” dhow. You can enjoy the dhow for half a day or a full day. Climb on board and let the dhow’s sails unfold and sail you off to some of the best snorkelling in the area. Manda Bay only offers its guests the freshest ingredients straight from the sea; fresh crab, prawns, lobster and calamari.

DAY 10 DEPARTURE
You will spend the morning either relaxing, walking, soaking up the sun or getting one last water ski, before you head to the airstrip to connect with the 15h45 Air Kenya flight to Nairobi. An Africa Uncovered representative will transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel or to the international airport for your journey home.
