KULALA WILDERNESS CAMP FACT SHEET

November and December – The camp is normally closed but can be opened if entire camp is booked out with a minimum of eight people for two nights.

ACCOMMODATION

9 tents, comprising:
5 twin bedded tents
1 honeymoon tent with queen-sized bed
2 triple tents
1 family unit
1 single and one twin pilot/guide tent located behind kitchen (basic).
This camp can accommodate 22 guests.

Tent details:
·All tents are elevated on wooden decks with double glass doors on the front, to allow for a maximum view over the mountains and red dunes
All tents are en-suite with shower, flush toilet and hand basin
Solar powered overhead fans
Soap, shampoos, insect repellent are supplied in each room
Bottled water is supplied free of charge in each tent.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

The main area is elevated on a wooden deck under thatch with sliding glass doors to allow for panoramic views
A large outside verandah area with views of the mountains
Bar and dining area
Small deck and plunge pool
Outside eating area

ACTIVITIES

This camp caters mainly to the self-drive market but guided excursions and game drives are offered at an additional cost from the camp.
These trips include:-
* Excursions to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon
* The Namib-Naukluf Park
* Night Drives after dinner
* Guided walks
* Sundowner drives on the Witwater Conservation Area.
* Horse-riding
* Balloon safaris at Sesriem

SUGGESTED DAILY ACTIVITY SCHEDULE

Below is only a suggestion – as daily wildlife sightings tend to throw the schedule right out of schedule.

04h30 – Early morning breakfast of juices and cereals.
05h30 – Depart for Sossusvlei, either self drive or guided
07h00—Arrive at Sossusvlei to climb dunes and visit deadvlei. A picnic hamper can be purchased at the camp at additional cost.
– Return to the camp
17h30 – Optional sundowner drive at extra cost
20h00 – Dinner – 3 courses served under the stars (weather permitting)
