The Caprivi Region contains several National Parks offering incredible safari opportunities, The Caprivi Game Park is wedged between Angola and Botswana, and extends over 150 kilometres until it meets with the Kwando River in the east. The terrain in this park is extremely sandy and with only a single road running through the park, game viewing is restricted.
In stark contrast the Mudumu National Park is lush with marshes, riverine forests and dense savannah and mopane woodland. The Kwando River runs through this National Park and an astonishing 430 species of bird have been recorded. Wildlife is also prevalent in the Mudumu National Park where red lechwe, buffalo, zebra, elephant and a vast array of antelope including the rare sitatunga can be found. Large crocodiles and hippo also inhabit the rivers. This National Park also has stunning riverside lodges. Mamili National Park is similar to the Mudumu National Park in terms of wildlife and vegetation, however, large areas are inaccessible by vehicle in the raining season.
