5 yrs—11 yrs = 50% of the rate
Up to 4 yrs = 25% of the rate
Cots, high chairs and baby sitting / child minding can be arranged with prior notification

Vamizi Island is 12 kms by 1.5 kms
The beach houses face north
There are 6 different beaches on the island
The beach the houses are on is 8 kms long, fine sand and walkable
All beaches are gently shelving and are perfect for swimming at low and high tide
On the western side of the island there is a traditional fishing village with 300 residents

FLORA & FAUNA

Tropical vegetation is abundant on the island with over 40 species of tree recorded, including 5 different species of Mangrove

132 species of bird including: Western Reef Heron, Forest Weaver, Madagascar Bee-eater, Green Coucal &, Mangrove Kingfisher

The island is home to an endemic species of Dwarf python, Samango Monkeys and Coconut Crabs

2 different species of turtle (Hawksbill and Green) nest on the island’s beaches. 300 nest sites have been protected to date

Climate Type: Sub-equatorial

Warmest months October – April (monthly average 27 – 30 º + C)
Coldest months June – August (monthly average 21 – 25 º C)

Rainy Season:
January – March. However, Vamizi being a low lying off-shore island will often not get the rain that hits the mainland

Predominance of SW, S & SE winds in April – November Predominance of NE & E winds in December – March

Min July – September: 21 – 25 º C
