ACCOMMODATION
Number of tents:
- 5 tented rooms consisting of:
- 4 x twin bedded tents
- One King-size bedded honeymoon tent
- One guide tent (same standard as a guest tent)
This camp can accommodate 10 guests with tour leader
Tent Details:
- East African Style tents on 2–3m raised decks with door entrances.
- All tents have verandas overlooking the floodplains with spectacular views
- Fans in all guests tents
- En-suite facilities with an outdoor shower
- Soaps, shampoos and insect repellents are supplied in each tent.
CAMP DESCRIPTION
- Large open & airy tented lounge & tented dining room, built on raised platforms with landscape view.
- Evening campfire
- Curio shop
- Plunge pool
- Slide projector available
ACTIVITIES
- Land game drives in open 4×4 Land Rovers – each accommodating max 7 guests, allowing all guests an outside seat.
- Private vehicle available on request.
- Night drives with spot light
- Walking Safaris are offered from camp on a request basis
- 7×2 seater mokoro
- 1×12 boat (subject to water levels permitting its use)
- Fishing on a catch and release basis (can book fly fishing with specialist fly fisher Grant. This must be booked prior to travel). Basic rods & reels supplied by camp but fly fishing equipment to be supplied by guest.
- A raised hide located about 20 minutes from camp (which can be used for sleep outs—max 4, has a long drop toilet & outside shower).
SUGGESTED DAILY ACTIVITY SCHEDULE
Below is only a suggestion – as daily wildlife sightings tend to throw the schedule right out of schedule.
Summer/Winter
05h00/06h00 – Wake up call. Light continental breakfast consisting of cereals, tea/coffee/juices and pastries to be served.
05h30/06h30 – Depart on morning activity, returning to camp at approximately 10h00.
10h00/11h00 – Brunch will consist of a selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. Guests will be at leisure until afternoon tea. Bird walks, talks and a visit to the hide are informally offered.
16h00/15h00 – Afternoon tea will be served – this will consist of a selection of sweet and savoury snacks.
16h30/15h30 – Depart on afternoon game viewing activity – drinks and snacks will be served for sundowners.
19h30/19h00 – Return to camp (but could be later if good game sightings).
20h00/19h30 – Pre-dinner drinks and snacks are served at the pub
20h30/20h00—Three-course dinner- generally speaking the starter and desert is served, whilst the main course is buffet style.
21h30/21h00 – Coffee and liqueurs will be served at the campfire.
