Seba meaning “whisper” is named after one of the elephants released into the wild from nearby Abu Camp. Seba Camp is situated on an island with large trees and a floodplain stretching into the distance. During the dry season, the clay-enriched soils of the western plains of the Okavango attracts large herds of herbivores, especially Zebra and Wildebeest. The area usually becomes inundated during the flood season, offering amazing mokoro and boat activities.

Seba Camp itself has five well-appointed and spacious elevated tents, designed specifically to blend in with the Okavango landscape. Each has its own en-suite bathroom and a private deck on which to relax and observe the passing panoply of wildlife in and around the perennial lagoon. The dining and bar areas are also set on a raised saligna deck with spectacular views. A well-stocked library of wildlife reference books and a collection of bound and illustrated volumes are also on hand for relaxation.
Dinners are often enjoyed out in the open on the floodplain in front of camp, while brunches regularly take place in the bush.
Apart from the large elephant population, there is an abundance of game in the area including giraffe, zebra, impala, wildebeest, tsessebe and lechwe. An exceptionally large pride of lion has taken up residence nearby and their thrilling calls can be heard in the evenings. Large herds of buffalo are frequent visitors, too at Seba Camp. For bird enthusiasts, some 380 different species are found in the region.
Activities include day and night game drives, boating, mokoros, walks and birding. Trained guides are ready to advise on all aspects of the Okavango ecosystems in this, one of Africa’s last remaining true wilderness areas.
