ACCOMMODATION

6 tents in total consisting of:

  • 5 x twin bedded tents
  • One king-size bedded honeymoon tent
  • This camp can accommodate 12 guests with tour leader or ten guests if one party.

Tent details:

  • Canvas tents with en-suite facilities, and a verandah and double door entrance.
  • Beds look out over the view, both the bedroom and bathroom have a view, i.e. they are landscape shaped.
  • Bathrooms en-suite under same canvas roof within same tent as bedroom, outdoor shower
  • Soaps, shampoos and insect repellents are supplied in each tent

CAMP DESCRIPTION

  • Great multi-activity camp with privacy
  • Main area encompasses pub, dining room and lounge under canvas on Saligna decking
  • Reading area overlooking the flood plains
  • Plunge pool
  • Slide projector

ACTIVITIES

  • Type – 50% game drives 50% water activities (but can change depending on flood levels)
  • Game drives via 2×10 seater open 4×4 Land Rovers each accommodating max. 7 guests, allowing all guests an outside seat.
  • Night drives.
  • Walks can be arranged on nearby islands (on request basis only).
  • Water game viewing in mokoro (a traditional dug-out canoe) 4×2 seater mokoro
  • One power boat seating 8 guests

SUGGESTED DAILY ACTIVITY SCHEDULE

Below is only a suggestion – as daily wildlife sightings tend to throw the schedule right out of schedule.

Summer/Winter

05h00/06h00 – Wake up call. Light continental breakfast consisting of cereals, tee/coffee/juices and pastries.
05h30/06h30 – Depart on morning activity, returning to camp at approximately 10h00.
10h00/11h00 – Brunch will consist of a selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. Guests will be at leisure until afternoon tea.
16h00/15h00 – Afternoon tea will be served – this will consist of a selection of sweet and savoury snacks.
16h30/15h30 – Depart on afternoon game viewing activity – drinks and snacks will be served for sundowners.
17h30/16h30 – Return to camp (but could be later if good game sightings).
20h00/19h30 – Pre-dinner drinks and snacks will be served at the pub.
20h30/20h00—Three-course dinner – generally speaking the starter and desert is served, whilst the main course is buffet style.
21h30/21h00 – Coffee and liqueurs will be served at the campfire.
